History of the company
Founded in 1930 under the name of Bury and Babel, the company started out in the field of metal working. It changed its name 32 years later, when the new owner, Mr Albert Kern, renamed it after himself, while continuing the initial activity of the company.
Serge and Pascale Ruedin, at the time heads of a precision engineering business since 1981, took over the company in 1995 and continued its tradition, while adding their know-how and the art that they mastered. Since then, the merger of these two disciplines allowed them to develop and specialise in the construction of shower doors and bathroom furniture to meet the many and varied requirements of their customers.
It is only recently, in 2006, that the company fitted out its new premises with a real forge. As a result, the company was renamed and was able to add a new service: the ironwork. This is how Art Kern SA was born.
